Bright blue skies over Foxford, another sunny day on the way. It’s not good weather for angling but on the plus side, the salmon are getting a great chance this spring. Water levels are falling fast now and although there’s plenty of water from Foxford downstream the fisheries further up stream are suffering. The best period today will be in the evening. Trout fishing on the Loughs is good at the moment, the cool breeze in the evening is not ideal but for anyone that can get out earlier in the day, there is sport to be had.
