Wet and windy in Foxford this morning. One would be forgiven for thinking winter has returned, its nasty. The river rose yesterday afternoon, peaking at 1.4m at Ballylahan bridge. It is now falling and is currently at 1.2m. It should continue to fall for most of the day but my gut is telling me we will get a second lift before evening. Good reports from all along the river yesterday and anglers were very happy. For today, spin and worm will be the best methods. The week ahead is promising, providing the rain knows when to stop.

The shop is open today from 8am to 12 Noon and will re open at 8 am on Tuesday morning.
