A slightly duller morning in Foxford with a few black clouds that look like they could burst at any minute. The forecast is not giving any significant amount of rainfall but i think we will have showers. The river is now at 0.65m at Ballylahan bridge and is in good order for all methods. Foxford Salmon Anglers waters produced their first fish of the season yesterday, a beautiful fresh 12lb on a spinner. Reports of some fish from Pontoon bridge as well. For anyone looking for a good opportunity of a springer on the fly,  East Mayo Anglers waters over the next couple of days is the place to be. Further downstream of Foxford spin and worm will be the best methods and with water levels falling I would expect a few fish to start holding up down there.
