A slightly overcast fresh morning in Foxford, it will be a nice day for fishing . The river is in pretty nice condition. Slightly coloured, it is now at 0.9m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for spin and worm. Its a big day in the Gaelic football world and our county team is taking on Tyrone in the All Ireland final. We are not very big football fans but its difficult not to get caught up in the excitement. I can see it been a very Lively evening in Foxford. As a gesture of friendship and good will we  are offering a free days fishing Today to any members of the Tyrone senior team who show up in the shop before 3 pm and if Mayo win we will extend this offer until tomorrow. Best of luck to all.
