A dark and misty morning in Foxford. The river is still pretty high 1.38m at Ballylahan bridge. It will still be coloured but suitable for worm and spin. There should be a good chance of a fish on The Cloongee or East Mayo Anglers waters today. This flood will move a few fish from further downstream but I would not expect a big run of fresh fish, there will be a few mixed in with resident fish. The weekend ahead could be a good one. No major rain forecast and weather conditions will suit spinning tomorrow. For fly fishing it looks like it will be Sunday before levels come right. There’s more rain forecast for Sunday night which could make the early part of next week difficult, lets see what happens.
