Brian with one from downstream of Foxford 19/05/21

A breezy and cool morning in Foxford. It looks like the rain is coming to an end. We will still have some showers throughout the day. The river is now at 1.5m at Ballylahan bridge and is likely to continue rising for a good part of the day. The water is brown at Foxford. Yesterday was very wet and windy so there were very few anglers on the river. One local angler had two salmon just upstream of Foxford. As water levels start to fall we should see some pretty good fishing over the weekend however as the Sprig run is coming to an end and the Grillse run has not fully started I would not expect a bonanza.
