The little drop of fresh water did help yesterday and quite a few anglers were successful. It is now at 0.4m at Ballylahan bridge and will most likely hold this level or rise a little throughout the day. Good conditions for spinning and with the fresh water worm will also be worth a try. The forecast is for some heavy rain today, it will depend on where it falls but we are likely to see more fresh water in the system over the weekend. All reports from downstream are that good numbers of fish are moving and that there is a good build up of fish in the estuary.
