A dry morning with a fresh breeze in Foxford. The river is now at 0.69m at Ballylahan bridge. There is still a lot of water coming from the Loughs and levels are high through Foxford and on to Ballina. The high water levels did not stop one angler hooking five salmon on Bakers fishery yesterday on the Prawn. There were other reports as well and it is looking like the river will fish well for the weekend. A gentle reminder for those lucky enough to hook more than one salmon, in September anglers on the Moy are permitted to Kill One salmon per day. A gentle nudge for the Minister responsible @Timmy Dooley , if we had some more fishery officers to patrol the river this Law might be enforced. For anyone fishing today, Prawn will be the best method. There is a band of rain heading our way which may have an effect on water levels on Sunday.
