A hazy morning but now starting to clear. The river is now at 0.34m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. While it is getting low in the upper parts there is still a good flow of water through Foxford and certainly enough water for any fish entering the system to run. In the coming days I would expect to hear of better fishing further downstream and anyone lucky enough to have fishing booked on the Ridge or Cathedral pools will be in with a great chance. We are again approaching Spring tides and this will move fresh fish into the system. For today, early morning and late evening will be the best periods. For the last few hours before dark it will be worth trying the fly or bubble and fly on East Mayo or Cloongee fisheries.
