Slightly cooler with some cloud appearing in the sky over Foxford. It looks like it starting to change and by this afternoon we may have a few showers. This rain will be very welcome from an angling point of view and should help cool water temperatures a little. At the moment the Moy Fisheries i.e the pools in Ballina, are closed to fishing. Ballina Salmon Anglers have also closed, further up stream the fisheries are all open. I did receive a call last evening to advise that the closure of the Cloongee fishery is imminent subject to water temperature which is currently around 18 degrees. Hopefully the situation will improve in the coming days.
