A beautiful morning with bright blue skies over Foxford and Foxford is a nice place when the skies are blue, unfortunately most people don’t visit Foxford for the nice blue sky.  It has been very quiet on the angling front with very few anglers venturing out. The few visiting anglers who persevered for the week in the deeper parts of the river did have success and most anglers have reported seeing fish. Water temperatures are getting dangerously high and fisheries protocol is now that if water temperature goes to 20 degrees the fishing has to stop on the State managed fisheries. It is debatable whether or not this is necessary when the river is not stuffed with fish but I think its good that the fish are protected. If they do stop fishing I think it will be a short term thing as we are heading back towards normal temperature mid nest week. For today it will be early morning and late evening in some of the deeper parts of the river. Alternatively, there’s a lot of sand eel about at the moment and the Sea Trout are getting fat, I know a shop with some great sea trout baits. The shop will be open today from 8am to noon and will re open at 8am on Tuesday
