A mixed sky over Foxford this morning, we could still have some showers but I don’t think we will have much. The river came up during the day yesterday and peaked at 0.83m at Ballylahan bridge. It has held overnight at 0.77 and following showers yesterday afternoon may even creep up a little more this morning. By afternoon it should be falling again and by tomorrow morning it should be in good order for fly fishing. We had the usual catch reports yesterday morning, some anglers catching nothing and others catching loads. One angler had five while the anglers to his right and left had nothing, that’s the way it goes. There was certainly a good few fish moving through Foxford in the last two days and I imagine there will be a lot more fish in the upper stretches of the river now.
