An overcast and damp morning in Foxford. We had some very heavy rain through yesterday afternoon and into the night. The river is now over the 1m mark at Ballylahan bridge and it will continue to rise for a good part of today. In Foxford it is also rising but has not coloured yet, this will come in the next few hours. Today will be difficult on the Moy but with the rain easing, tomorrow and the remainder of the week look promising. I would not expect a big run of fresh fish, what will happen is a lot of fish that have been lying in pools downstream will move and whatever fish are in the estuary will move into the river. Anyone fishing today would be best to try from Foxford downstream towards Ballina and worm will be the best method. I will update this later this evening.

Update @ 18.15 The river is now starting to fall, it is still coloured through Foxford. By morning it should be back in nice condition for spin and worm
