Ross with one of two springers he caught on the Foxford fishery yesterday.
Sunset on Lough Cullen 29/05/21. A few spent mayfly dancing.

A very bright start to the day in Foxford, it could be a tough day at the office. Water levels are good, 0.63m at Ballylahan bridge. The river is suitable for all methods but anyone thinking of fly fishing may be better to leave it for a few hours at least. The forecast is for a little bit of cloud cover later in the day. The fisheries downstream of |Foxford should all fish ok and prawn will be the best method. There were some nice fish taken yesterday and anglers reported seeing some fish moving. Most of the early Grilse running appear top be heading straight through the system and into Lough Conn where sea liced fish have been caught. For anyone thinking about a Lough to try, Conn is fishing pretty good and the warmer weather can only help. for today dry fly will be the best method. I hope to get out there this evening for some spent fishing.
