Water levels are falling fast now and fishing on the river is pretty difficult. There’s an opportunity for the early part of the morning and again in the late evening. Shrimp/Prawn has been the most productive method in the past few days. The big tides this weekend will probably bring in some fresh Grilse which will liven things up a bit. Sea trout fishing on the estuary or of some of the beaches is an alternative. I have been doing some trout fishing in the early morning and late evening on Lough Conn, fish are moving and challenging would be a polite word to describe the frustration. Sleep is highly overrated 🙂
