The “Waning crescent”, early morning sky Foxford 23/09/22

A dry morning with some nice high cloud and a bit of breeze in Foxford. The river is up slightly, nothing major but I have a feeling it will improve the angling situation.

The big rock this morning, water level is up. See pic from yesterday to compare
The big Rock yesterday morning

It peaked yesterday at 0.57m at Ballylahan bridge and has crept up overnight in Foxford by about 20 or 30 cm. I’m not sure there’s enough to move fish from the estuary but there are a lot of resident fish throughout the system. For anyone heading out today I would recommend spinning. A black and gold flying C or a Swinford spoon should do the trick.
