A calm and dry morning in Foxford and it looks like we will not have any rain today. We did have a few heavy downpours yesterday afternoon and they have slowed progress a little. The river was falling nicely yesterday but has actually crept up a little again overnight. Nothing major to panic about though. It is now at 1.47m at Ballylahan bridge and will start falling again very soon. Chances of success today are a lot greater than in the past few days. In conditions like this it is very important to find the fish. They will be using whatever cover they have to keep out of the main flow of the water. This means getting baits near the bottom of the river so heavy, low and slow is a good tip.
