A hazy morning in Foxford. A little bit of rain forecast for the afternoon but nothing substantial. The river is now down to 1.13m at Ballylahan bridge. There is a big flow from the Loughs and through Foxford but it has cleaned out well. It is an improving situation and the weekend could end pretty well following a disastrous fishing week. In the Foxford area spinning will be the best method. Further upstream on East Mayo Anglers waters it will be coming close to a fly level, certainly in the upper pools around Oldcastle. So far, next week looks promising. The long range forecast does not seem to have a lot of rain so water levels should continue to fall, we will have to wait and see what happens. Tomorrow, Sunday, we will be closing at 10am. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience.
