A bright and sunny morning in Foxford, not what anglers want but I have to say, its nice to see it. Water levels upstream have fallen away and this weather will make it difficult up there. For Cloongee and East Mayo Fisheries, early morning and late evening will be the best periods. From Foxford downstream there will be a chance of fish in some of the deeper stretches especially for anyone bait fishing. Over the past few days we have had some good reports of fish been taken and some anglers have reported exceptional results. Bubble and fly has been the most productive method. With the falling water levels and fresh run Grilse now is the time to try some of the smaller Flying Cs, the Rolla 6G and 8G work very well in these conditions and as any good shop keeper would say “We have them in stock” .
