Another bright morning in Foxford, any early morning haze will soon burn off. Water levels in the upper parts are now very low, 0.24m at Ballylahan bridge which when combined with the bright weather rules out the chances of catching a salmon up there. The best area to fish will be downstream off Foxford (Rinnanney, Gannons, Armstrongs, Knockmore, Attymass) where the water is deeper. The best time will be early morning and late evening and the best method will be Prawn although other methods could work. Its looking like this will be the situation for the week. For anyone here on a fishing holiday, some nice alternatives during the middle of the day are Sea trout fishing in the Moy Estuary or Brown trout fishing on the Loughs.
