A very grey sky over Foxford this morning, looks like rain on the way. The river has been rising and falling by a few centimeters every day recently. It is now at 0.58m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods. There are not many anglers on the river but those who are seem to be doing alright and we are getting reports of fish. One angler came in the shop yesterday and said he had a gleaming silver fish of about 6lb so its possible some of the fish have finallly left the tidal water. For anyone looking for a fish on the fly, East Mayo Anglers waters should be well worth a try.
