A dull wet morning in Foxford. Not sure how much rain fell over night but i woke around 4am and it was heavy at that stage. I would expect the river to creep up throughout the day. For now it is at 0.93m at Ballylahan bridge and suitable for worm and spin. The fish appear to be keeping their heads down at the moment but despite not seeing them anglers are having success. I know of 2 anglers who had 2 each yesterday spinning with a black and gold flying C.  Spin low and deep is the secret, use a heavier bait and get down to the fish. At this time of the season the fisheries down stream of Foxford normally start to produce good numbers, worth remembering.
