A dull wet morning in Foxford. I can’t see it getting any better in the early part of the day although the forecast does mention sunny spells later. The river was up yesterday, peaking at 1.3m at Ballylahan bridge. It is now at 0.86m at Ballylahan and will most likely be rising again by the evening. For anyone trying to plan a day, we are looking at Tuesday/Wed before it will settle and that’s subject to what the weather does. For today, anyone that is on the river in the early past of the day will have a reasonable chance of a fish on either spin or worm. Its not going to be very pleasant so wrap up well.
