Saturday 24/05/2025

Good morning from an overcast and grey Foxford, back to normality. It is considerably cooler and we have some rain. Not enough rain to rise the river but enough to freshen the water which is something we need. There is heavier rain forecast for this afternoon so lets see what that brings. I would expect that with this change in weather we will see a few anglers on the river over the weekend and we should also see some fish starting to take. The best areas for today will still be the deeper stretches around Foxford although with the duller conditions I would expect fish to attempt moving through the shallower parts. Bubble and fly or light spinners could well work in Cloongee or on East Mayo Anglers waters.
