A soft lingering mist, the type that wets you without you realising its happening in Foxford this morning. The river is rising, now at 0.93m at Ballylahan bridge and will probably make 1m before it stops. There is a chance of a second rise later today or overnight tonight. This drop of fresh water was well needed and will move a few fish throughout the system. For the early part of today there will be some colour in the water. A good place to try this morning while waiting for it to clear would be Pontoon bridge, there will be run of fish into the Loughs. The rivers Deel and Ballavarry are other places that should be worth a look. This is not going to be a “Long lasting” flood and apart from the possibility of a second rise it will run off quickly. I would imagine fishing conditions will be good tomorrow.
