A dull, damp morning in Foxford, an amazing change from yesterdays blue sky. It looks like we will get rain for most of the day, possibly not as much as was forecast but it should help with water conditions. At present the level is 0.25m at Ballylahan bridge which is low and a lot of the rocks at the back of the town are showing. It would be nice to see these rocks covered at least. I’m not expecting a major burst of fish with a flood but at this point there will be a few fish throughout the system and a freshen up will get them moving and perhaps in the humour to take. We are heading into a nice period, last two weeks of April and first two weeks of May which will be the peak of the spring fishing. This change in weather and the fresh water is nicely timed. For today, all methods should work.
