Another beautiful morning in Foxford. Looking at the forecast this will change later in the day and we will see cloud building, there’s even a mention of Hail. I have spent a while looking at the river during the days this week, while I have not spotted any adult Salmon showing I’m happy to say that there appears to be a good number of smolts splashing about, its nice to see them. Water levels in the upper parts of the river are now low and anyone thinking of fishing today would be best to concentrate on the fisheries downstream of Foxford. I have not been down for a look but Foxford Salmon Anglers New water keeper Dave along with a volunteer or two have been busy tidying the Rinnaney fishery. This is welcome news for anyone who enjoys fishing this piece of water and it could be interesting to fish a few spots that have been inaccessible for a number of years.
