A dull morning in Foxford and it looks like another fairly nice fishing day ahead. Reports of a few salmon taken yesterday and fish seen moving. Hopefully we will see a few more anglers on the banks today and tomorrow and we will get a better idea of what fish are in the system. There’s certainly a good number in Lough Conn where trout anglers are encountering them by accident. Although water levels upstream are low, anyone prepared to give it a try with the bubble and fly today will be in with a good chance of a fish. Further downstream of Foxford, Prawn will be the best method. Trout anglers on Loughs Conn and Cullin are reporting good sport with trout taking a mix of dry and wet flies.
