The fishing was relatively quiet today with the best reports from early morning. The water is slowly falling away but still high enough to allow fish move freely. The water and weather conditions look good for the coming days.
The River has dropped back to a very good level and the conditions are forecast good for the weekend. There are reasonable numbers of fish being landed and the “Return for Effort” is good. The gauge at Ballylahan (Upstream of Foxford) is now back online for real time water levels..

The River rose steadily last evening and overnight but has leveled of and is starting to fall. The guage at Balylahan is reading 0.9m and is only slightly coloured. It should keep dropping for the rest of the day and should be in good order for the Bank Holiday weekend..
