Some beautiful Salmon caught yesterday and anglers reporting seen fish moving, a good day. We had a few showers overnight but nothing substantial. Fishing should continue to improve. The river is at 0.68m at Ballylahan bridge and the sand that was coming from the Lough has cleared.

The River is at 1.95m at Ballylahan bridge this morning and will most likely continue to rise for most of the day. We had a lot of rain in the past 24 hours. The water is very dirty so for today at least its a wash out.

Monday 16th April

The River is in good order this morning with a small drop of fresh water following the rain yesterday evening. 2 Salmon were reported taken yesterday, while there were a few reports of fish being lost and more seen travelling.

A windy morning, no rain yet but its not far away. The river is in good condition 0.55m at Ballylahan bridge. The last three customers in the shop yesterday evening all said they had seen fish and in different locations, one had lost a fish of 10lb+. That’s a good indication that fish are moving. […]

Looking like a nice day ahead. We had one nice fish at the shop yesterday, a beautiful fresh 11lb salmon taken from the East mayo anglers stretch.
