I woke to the sound of Thunder and some heavy rain this morning, it seems to have passed now though. While the rain was heavy for a while it was not enough to put water in the river. We live in hope though and hopefully it will return or perhaps sit over the mountains for a few hours. The very fact that we have had thunder may be enough to make some Salmon take and for anyone with a couple of free hours this morning it could be well worth getting out on the river soon. There is not much to report from the river as there are virtually no anglers on the banks, the odd local for an hour now and again. For anyone that is going to give it a try this morning, prawn will be the best method.
