A dull overcast morning in Foxford. Looking at the forecast  it looks like we may have a few reasonable days to come. The week started of wet and as expected water levels were very high. It is now at 0.9m at Ballylahan bridge and falling. We are starting to get some reports of fish moving and there was one taken in Ballina on Tuesday afternoon. By early next week the river should be in very nice condition and with easter coming I imagine more anglers will venture out, we should see an improvement in catches.

For the Lough trout anglers, there are reports of good hatches of Duck fly on Lough Cullin and I know of a few anglers who have had fish. My apologies for the short blog this week, I have been out of the loop for the past two weeks and this week has been particularly busy. From next weekend we will start to open the shop on Saturday and Sunday mornings, I will also start the daily reports here.
