A fresh breezy morning in Foxford. We did not have much rain overnight and water levels are falling. The river is now at 0.48m at Ballylahan bridge, it peaked yesterday at 0.63m. This should have been enough water to move some fresh fish from lower downstream up through the upper parts of East Mayo Anglers waters. This aera will be worth a run through with the fly over the next few days. From Foxford downstream there appears to be good numbers of fish lying in all the pools and there were good reports from Ballina yesterday when the Ridge pool reopened. Spinning should work well today and all methods will be worth trying over the weekend.
