A little bit of fog over the river in Foxford this morning. The summer has arrived, well at least it was here yesterday. Looking at the forecast, the next few days will be warm but as we approach the weekend it will change. The river is now at 0.4m at Ballylahan bridge but still no rocks showing in Foxford which is unusual this late in the season. There is plenty of water for fish to run so lets not panic yet. I would say that if the weather stays bright, early morning and late evenings will be the best times to be on the water. For today, prawn and bubble and fly will be the best methods and if you are fishing in the middle of the day, some of the deeper stretches down stream of Foxford will be the best places to be.
