“Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning” The sky over Foxford this morning

An ominous looking red sky over Foxford this morning. Its not bad yet but I have a feeling this is the calm before the storm. Looking at the forecast and the sky we are in for a nasty afternoon. Despite the bad weather yesterday there seems to have been fish taken. The first thing that popped up on my phone this morning was a video clip of Moy regular Davy McKee playing a salmon with the title “River Moy producing the goods”. Lough Conn fished well also and apart from some very nasty showers we all had a nice days fishing. At the moment the river is dropping and is now at 1.6m at Ballylahan bridge. There will be a short window of opportunity for anyone in the area this morning but I think that by this evening it will be rising again. For anyone taht is heading out this morning, worm and heavy spinners will be the best methods. The shop is open from 8am to Noon today and will re open at 8am on Tuesday morning.
