A dull morning in Foxford, it looks like it will brighten up soon. A mixed forecast with showers, sun and wind all in the mix, it should be  a reasonable fishing day. Yesterday was a quiet day on the river, the Waterkeepr from Rinnanney reported 100% success on the fishery for the day i.e the one angler who was there caught a salmon. It is that time of the year, a lot of anglers are tied up with family activities and free time is in short supply. As we move into September and schools re open it normally gets busier. For today, all methods should work with Prawn and bubble and fly the most likely. The Loughs have been quiet in recent weeks as well with virtually no anglers out. Lough Conn will get a test today as the Foxford Angling Club and the Westport Anglers compete against each other in the John Gallagher Memorial Cup. An interesting day ahead..
