A few damp looking clouds in the sky over Foxford this morning, no rain yet but it looks like we will have showers. The river is in excellent condition and is suitable for all methods. We are getting good reports of fish moving in the lower parts of the river but for some reason these fish are not appearing or are keeping their heads down further upstream. It is likely that a lot of them are lying in the deep water from the Joinings down stream or are heading for the deep water in Lough Conn. For today the best method will again be the Prawn and if the cloud stays, bubble and fly should work. East Mayo anglers are running a youth training event this afternoon at which we are helping out. We are there to ensure that the participants get to know the feeling of playing a fish. It could be difficult to hook fifty fish but we have a cunning plan. Congratulations to the club for organising this event, something all clubs should be doing.
