A misty morning in Foxford and it looks like we had a few heavier showers overnight. Its not enough rain to make any dramatic changes to the river. It will put a smell of fresh water through the system and may even cool it down a little. I had a phone call from IFI last night to tell me that they are reopening the Cloongee fishery from 6am this morning. Now that the pools have been rested for a few days it will be worth a try with the bubble and fly, the very relaxed, un disturbed and De stressed salmon may just take. Over the next week we should have more rain and currently it looks like Wednesday evening and Friday morning it could be quite heavy. Its to soon to know for certain so don’t get too excited yet. I have a feeling though that by the weekend we should see more water and more fish in the system. For today, all methods are worth a try.
