A little bit of sun peaking through the clouds over Foxford this morning but pretty grey overall. The river is now down to 0.2m at Ballylahan bridge. It certainly needs water in the upper parts. There’s a lot of fish in the river and from Cloongee down stream there is still enough water for fish to run. The prawn is working well at the moment and some anglers are doing well on other methods, especially bubble and fly. Reports from Ballina are that there are still a lot of fish in the tidal section which is good for anyone fishing the Ridge or Cathedral pools.
