A damp morning in Foxford, soft drizzle and generally wet!. Some rain over night as well which may raise levels a little later today. The river is now at 0.7m at Ballylahan bridge and is suitable for all methods, this may change if we do get a rise in levels. Spinning appears to be the best method at the moment. Not much of a take on worm and the water is slightly coloured for prawn fishing. On the upper stretches fly fishing is worth a try but it is advisable to try getting the fly down a little in the water.

We have again collaborated with Mr Rolla on a set of baits suitable for the Autumn. These baits are all made with single hooks which can be easily de barbed for catch and release if desired. The colours and weights are the most popular for this time of season. The Rolla “Harvest Collection” is a nice simple set which will work well. https://themoy.com/product/rolla-harvest-collection/
