Jean with her first of the season, one of a few taken on East Mayo yesterday afternoon

A dry morning in Foxford, some heavy showers forecast. The river is coming back into nice order. Now at 0.93m at Ballylahan bridge, it might creep up by a few centimeters later. The water is still coloured in Foxford. Reasonable reports from up stream yesterday afternoon and i’d imagine that fishing on East Mayo and Cloongee fisheries will be good today. Spinning is likely to be the best method. After this flood we should see good numbers of fish throughout the system. The days ahead are promising.
