This is beginning to sound like Groundhog day. It’s another lovely morning in Foxford, blue skies and sunshine. A little bit of fog on the river earlier but that has cleared. There are very few anglers on the river which is not surprising. There is a little change coming in the weather from Friday. The welcome part of this is that the wind will change direction back to our more normal SW. Fishing conditions will improve, anglers will appear on the banks and fish will be caught. Lets hope i’m right, I feel confident. It is worth remembering that at the moment the river is low 0.33m at Ballylahan bridge, until we get rain and a rise in levels most of the fish will hold in the deeper stretches around Foxford.
