A cloudy morning with a little drizzle in Foxford. It looks like we are going to have some more substantial rain later this morning. Over the weekend the river was up and down but overall conditions were not too bad. Reports of a few fish from along the river including the first of the season from the Foxford fishery and a couple from Foxford Salmon anglers Bakers fishery (one from Carigeen and one from Cualass). The river is now at 0.9m at Ballylahan bridge and has cleared out well, suitable for all methods. For anyone in the area or who can get to the river today there is a good chance of a fish. Todays rain, if it arrives could have a negative effect on conditions for tomorrow, we will have to wait and see. For trout anglers, the Mayfly is starting to make an appearance on Loughs Conn and Cullin so we should see some good trout fishing in the coming weeks.
