A breezy morning with high cloud and nice light in Foxford, a good morning for the bubble and fly. The river is still low (0.19m at Ballylahan bridge) and angling effort is also low. With this change in weather the water temperature should soon start to fall.  IFI will make a decision this morning on re opening the state run fisheries ( Moy fisheries,Cloongee and Ballavarry river) . Salmon angling will start to come back in the next while however for anyone planning a trip before the season ends I think that realistically it will be into September before its back to normal.
