A little bit of a summery feel to this morning although it is starting to cloud over now. The river is now down to 0.3m at Ballylahan bridge but holding a nice level through Foxford. Today is forecast to get showery but overall the forecast for the next few days is not angler friendly. At this point I would suggest that anyone with alternative interests do something else for the weekend, its not looking good for fishing. For today, In the early part bait fishing in some of the deeper stretches will be the best method, as we get towards afternoon and perhaps have some rain and wind it may be worth trying bubble and fly or even a spinner.
