Widespread heavy drizzle this morning and the river is rising a little. Now at 0.83m at Ballylahan bridge it will most likely creep up for another few hours at least. This water must be the result of rain further North in the mountains, we did not have anything in Foxford up to bed time. The issue with water from the mountains is that it can bring a heavy peat stain which will make fly fishing difficult. For anyone spinning or worm fishing it should be ok. We will have the shop open from 8 am until Noon today.
