A slightly brighter morning in Foxford, it looks like we will have a dry day. The river is holding a good level and is now at 0.63m at Ballylahan bridge. It will be suitable for all methods. It has been a mixed week on the Moy and on the Loughs, there’s fish about but overall the take has not been great. This may be due to the weather or some other factor we know nothing about. Whatever it is it’s reflected all over at the country at moment and reports from other rivers and Loughs are very similar. We had a small local trout competition on Lough Conn last night, every angler came in frozen cold and just two trout were caught, not normal for this time of year. Hopefully things will improve in the coming days.
