A breezy, dry morning in Foxford. We had some heavy showers yesterday evening and the river is rising at the moment. It is now at 0.77m at Ballylahan bridge and I think it will peak at about 0.9m. Its going to be coloured and spinning will be the best method. The fisheries further down stream will be the best areas to try, Paddens pool springs to mind. There is a mixed forecast for the days ahead and it looks like we will have a heavy band of rain crossing on Sat night into Sunday morning, it’s uncertain yet but if I were making plans for a fishing trip at the weekend I would plan for Saturday.
