A dry but cloudy morning in Foxford. The river crept up by a few centimetres overnight but nothing noticeable. There were very few anglers on the river yesterday but again we did get reports of fish caught. Looking at the forecast, it looks like we will have some heavy rain overnight tonight. Hopefully this rain will bring a proper flood that will flush out the entire system. The Loughs and the rivers all need a freshen up. If the rain does come and we do get a flood it will most likely be a dirty one which with the ban on worm fishing will knock us out of action for a couple of days. Subject to what happens, the river should be back in good condition by early to mid next week. These are all assumptions and guesses, we will have to wait and see what rain falls between now and this time tomorrow morning. For today, spin and prawn will be the best methods.
