You heard it here first, the weather is going to turn nasty in the coming days. Its unfortunate for the Easter bank holiday weekend but we have to remember that Easter is early this year so all is not lost, better weather and fish will come soon. The river has bumped up a little over night, now at 0.9m at Ballylahan bridge. We took at quick spin at lunchtime yesterday to visit David Turner at the Rinnanney fishery where he was busy putting up new signage. Well done to Dave and the Foxford salmon Anglers, keeping working and improving the fisheries even in tough times.

You might note that I said we took a spin at Lunchtime. I think I have finally convinced P.J that we should close for a while each day. For many many years we have worked long hours and it is telling on the bodies. We will still be there when you need us, you may have to alter the visit time slightly but together we will figure it out. 8am to 12 Noon, 2 Pm (14.00h) to 6pm (18.00)Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Saturday and 8am to 12 Noon on Sunday is the planned schedule.
